Job Summary:
The Bureau of Labor Statistics is seeking bright, innovative, results-oriented individuals. The incumbent serves as an Economist in the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). BLS is the principal fact-finding agency of the Federal Government in the broad field of labor economics and statistics. BLS collects, processes, analyzes, and disseminates essential statistical and economic data to the American public, the U.S. Congress, other Federal agencies, State and local governments, business and labor. The incumbent will serve as a professional economist performing entry-level duties. This is a developmental position with the full performance level at GS-12. Applicants who do not submit a transcript to verify the required 21 semester hours in Economics and the 3 semester hours in either Calculas or Accounting or Statistics will not be considered for employment.
