The Missile Defense Agency's mission is to develop an integrated layered Ballistic Missile Defense System to defend the United States, its deployed forces, allies and friends. In this position, you will support the Missile Defense Agency's Test Directorate, which works in conjunction with the Warfighter to develop and execute an increasingly complex test program designed to demonstrate the sensor, shooter, and command and control capabilities of an integrated Ballistic Missile Defense System. There are many diverse job duties in the Test Directorate that you may be responsible for, including: executing test engineering activities on complex weapon systems, elements, and/or components; performing risk assessments and developing techniques to monitor integrated test programs, plans, and schedules for adequacy; developing and maintaining cost, schedule, and performance baselines; coordinating with staff and external agencies on test assets and ranges, technology development, systems engineering, threat assessment, treaty obligations, budget development and execution, and other functions; and/or develop acquisition plans, policies and reports to support the test mission. Most importantly, you are in a pivotal role from your first day. Typical work assignments may include: * Support one or more activities in the test and engineering phase of the acquisition cycle for a complex weapon system. * Identify problems and their causes and propose solutions. * In cooperation with coworkers, identify needs of internal and external customers and address their concerns. * Plan, prioritize, organize, monitor and evaluate your own and others work activities. * Develop and execute test concepts, plans, and missions.
