Job Summary:



This Electronic Engineer (AST Optical Engineer) position will be filled under the NASA Pathways Recent Graduate Program. The position is that of an aerospace engineer including a specialty that involves research and development of opto-mechanical design solutions for advancement of remote sensing technologies with application to science instruments and space exploration systems. The incumbent will provide mechanical design solutions as part of integrated teams consisting of optical, structural, mechanical, thermal, electrical, test and systems engineers. The engineer will utilize an understanding of both optical systems and mechanical design to support research and development of remote sensing technologies with application to science instruments and space exploration systems. This position will be filled either at the GS-9 or the GS-11 levels with promotion potential to GS-13. Your application must indicate the lowest grade you will accept.
