BLS is the principal fact-finding agency for the Federal Government in the broad field of labor economics and statistics. The BLS is an independent national statistical agency that collects, processes, analyzes, and disseminates essential statistical data to the American public, the U.S. Congress, other Federal agencies, State and local governments, business and labor. The BLS also serves as a statistical resource to the DOL. This position is being advertised within the Division of Price and Index Number Research (DPINR) of the Office of Prices and Living Conditions (OPLC). Intermittent cut off dates for this announcement are : February 1, 2013; February 15, 2013; March 1, 2013; March 15, 2013; March 29, 2013; April 12, 2013; April 26, 2013; May 10, 2013. This position's full performance level is the GS-14. This position is inside the bargaining unit. A writing sample may be required at time of interview.
